Help us kick things off Saturday morning as we convene to discuss the exciting things we have in store for this all day event. We'll talk about the various panels and how to watch them. Sid City: Science Division Interviews Mel of the Sid City Social Club
Jay and Kayleigha of Science Division sit down with Mel of the Sid City Social Club to discuss what it is and how it came to be. Learn about Mel's long history with Alexander Siddig and gain some insight into what inspired the two of them to host twice-weekly Zoom meetings to bolster the fan community during this pandemic. In this pre-recorded panel discussion, Mel answers questions from Sid City Social Club members, delves into the hard work involved in organizing the Social Club, and reveals the "oh wow" moment when she realized that Sid City was more than just a fan site.

Theatre During COVID-19: A Discussion with Armin Shimerman and Kitty Swink
Armin Shimerman and Kitty Swink join Jay and Kayleigha of Science Division to discuss theatre, all that it has given society (including some of the greatest Star Trek performers), and its current state as a result of the global pandemic. Armin and Kitty will delve into how they are keeping the art of theatre alive through literature and radio plays. Jay and Kayleigha, lighting designers for theatre, will share how hybrid learning and mandated closures are impacting theatre education and the live events industry.
